Huntt’s Row | New Construction Luxury Rowhomes in Richmond’s Fan District

Huntt's Row New Construction Rowhomes | Fan District Richmond VA

Huntt’s Row will be a collection of 8 upscale new construction row houses on the 2600 block of Kensington Avenue in Richmond’s Fan District.

Words like “rare” and phrases like “once in a lifetime” are often overused in the real estate industry. So while I usually avoid using them to describe property, Huntt’s row is truly an uncommon and extraordinary opportunity. One that I feel privileged to be a part of.

With classically inspired exteriors that are designed to compliment the surrounding neighborhood fabric along with bright and open interiors designed to inspire; this project is going to provide homeowners with a modern living experience in one of Richmond’s most historic neighborhoods.

Featuring all-brick 3 and 4 bedroom homes which will offer either 2.5 or 3 baths, Huntt’s Row is a unique opportunity to own a low-maintenance and energy-efficient home within short walking distance to some of the best museums and award-winning restaurants and cafes not only in the city, but in the entire region. Each home will have 2 parking spaces and there are even plans which include basements and detached garages.  Standard features such as finish in-place wood floors and custom cabinetry have been selected to impress and will be consistent with market expectations for upscale urban housing.

Where Did the Name Come From?

Huntt’s Row is named for Albert Huntt, a talented Richmond architect whose designs and influences can be found throughout Richmond and especially in the Fan District. Huntt is credited with designing some of Richmond’s most iconic properties, and for some of Richmond’s most notable names. Examples of his best known work in the Fan can be found on Monument Avenue and the famed 1500 block of Grove.

Huntt designs tended to challenge the accepted boundaries of classical architecture, making his work noticeable and attractive to even the untrained eye. While his most well known efforts were ornate and unique, he designed for efficiency as well.

Therefore, this project pays homage to Albert Huntt, a turn of the 20th-century Richmond architect whose work helped to define the Fan District as we know it. Even more specifically, Huntt’s Row takes its inspiration from the 7 rowhomes along the western corner of the 2100 Block of Hanover Avenue, which he designed in the early 1900’s.
